Producer Info: Bodegas Sonsierra was born in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, in the heart of a region with unique characteristics for vine growing, where the Tempranillo grape finds its perfect environment. In 1962, more than 240 vine growers decided to pool their 430 hectares of vineyards to realise an old dream of farmers in the village: the creation of a cooperative in which they produce their own wines.
Planting occupies a wide variety of different terrain: from the foothills of the Cantabrian Mountains at an altitude of 770 metres, to the rolling terraces of the lowlands near the River Ebro, at an altitude of just 420 metres.
