Michele Chiarlo Nivole Moscato d’Asti 37.5cl

Michele Chiarlo Nivole Moscato d’Asti 37.5cl

Wine: ‘Nivole’ Moscato d’Asti

Producer: Michele Chiarlo

Country: Italy

Region: Pidemont / Moscato d’Asti

Vintage: 2019

Style: Dessert Wine – White (Sparkling)

Blend: Moscato 100%

ABV: 5%

Size: 37.5cl

Organic: NO

Biodynamic: NO

Vegan: NO (Vegetarian)

Notes: A style of wine which we can’t help but love! Floral aromas are seamlessly complemented by peach & apricot notes on the fragrant bouquet. The gently sparkling palate is delicate, light & creamy; with a silky texture & a refreshing finish.

A slow fermentation took place in temperature controlled stainless steel autoclaves until the alcohol level reached 5%. During this process, part of the carbon dioxide developed during fermentation remained “entrapped”, imparting the wine with its mild, natural effervescence. The temperature was then lowered to 0°C to arrest the fermentation & also to retain the natural sweetness & freshness of the Moscato grape.

Producer Info: Michele Chiarlo is one of Piedmont’s most prestigious winemakers, producing outstanding wines from some of the most exceptional sites in Piedmont, including Barolo’s world famous Cannubi & Cerequio vineyards. Founded in 1956 by Michele Chiarlo & now run by his sons Alberto & Stefano, the Chiarlo philosophy “is to capture the terroir” & with judicious use of oak they develop some wines for ageing & some which can be enjoyed earlier.
