Style: White
Blend: Sauvignon Blanc 100%
ABV: 12.5%

Notes: The Sauvignon Blanc grape excels in this rich, limestone soil, giving a crisp edge to the wine`s natural richness. This single vineyard Sancerre has the added complexity of mineral & herbaceous flavours on the palate. Well balanced & round in the mouth, the immense long notes of gooseberries & citrus combine with the crisp flinty notes which linger on the finish.
Producer Info: André Neveu, owner & winemaker of his eponymous domaine in the tiny village of Chavignol, has been making wine for over 45 years. André, locally known only as ‘Casio,’ is a seventh-generation winemaker in this village known mostly for its famous ‘Crottin de Chavignol,’ which is a small round of aged goat’s cheese that is best consumed at 10 AM with a fresh glass of Sancerre (something we can all surely get on board with)! Today, Casio’s son-in-law Thomas Dezat has assumed the role of winemaker at this 30-acre estate. Producing four terroir-specific white Sancerres (all 100% Sauvignon Blanc), as well as a red & rosé both from Pinot Noir, Casio & Thomas are producing some of the best Sancerres available at the moment in our humble opinion.
